Tools that support the brain and body from the ground up

As practitioners and parents, we get asked constantly what tools can help at home between sessions. These are not gimmicks or quick fixes. They are specific devices that support nervous system regulation, brain stimulation, sensory processing and physical development.

We only recommend what we have personally used with children and families. You will find affiliate links and discount codes below — this is how we keep our free resources going.

Eyelights — Coloured Glasses with Therapy Lights

Visual stimulation to balance the right and left brain hemispheres

Developed as part of the Melillo Method, Eyelights use flickering light through coloured lenses to stimulate the weaker hemisphere of the brain. This supports better brain balance, which can improve attention, reading, coordination and emotional regulation in children.

How we choose what to recommend

We take recommendations seriously. Here is our four step process before any tool appears on this page.

1

We use it ourselves

Every tool on this page is something we have personally used — either with our own children or in our clinic sessions with families.

2

We look at the evidence

We review the research behind each tool, making sure there is a sound scientific basis for how and why it supports brain and body development.

3

Families tell us it works

We ask families in our programme what results they see. If multiple families report consistent positive changes, the tool earns its place here.

4

It fits into real family life

The tool needs to be usable at home without clinical expertise. If it is too complicated for a parent to use safely, it does not make the list.

Frequently asked questions

Absolutely not. Most children benefit from just one or two tools chosen for their specific challenges. We recommend starting with a free discovery call with us so we can point you toward what is most likely to make the biggest difference for your child.

Yes, all of the tools on this page are designed for home use and are safe when used as directed. Some — such as the Brain Driver tDCS device — are more technical and we recommend using them only after guidance from a practitioner. If you are unsure, please reach out to us before purchasing.

For focus and attention we most often recommend BlazePods for active focus training, BrainTap for nervous system regulation, and the Rezzimax Tuner for calming the vagus nerve. A combination of movement based tools and nervous system tools tends to give the best results.

The Vibration Plate is excellent for children who are sensory seeking or have poor proprioceptive awareness. The TENS unit also provides strong proprioceptive input. For sensory overwhelm and hypersensitivity, the Rezzimax Tuner and BrainTap tend to be most helpful for calming an overactive nervous system.

Yes, the code hopefulneuron is available to everyone in our community. Some offers are specific to UK stock or have quantity limits — these are noted on each card. If a code is not working, please contact us and we will help.

Yes. The best way to get a personalised recommendation is to book a free 15 minute Intensive Fit Call with us. We can look at your child's specific profile and tell you exactly which one or two tools are most likely to make a difference. There is no obligation to purchase anything.
