Autism & ADHD Support in Edinburgh | Hopeful Neuron
Melillo Method Certified  ·  Clinic in Mill Hill, London  ·  Edinburgh Families Welcome

Autism and ADHD support for children from Edinburgh. A trip to London, then support from home.

You don't need to live near London to work with us. Families from Edinburgh and Scotland travel to our clinic in Mill Hill for a Clarity Day or an Intensive week, then carry on with remote support from home. It's for children with autism, ADHD, SEN and sensory processing differences.

Most families come once, leave with a clear plan, and keep going with video check ins from their own living room.

Getting to Mill Hill, and what to expect

Our clinic is at 1A Hall Lane, Mill Hill, London NW4 4TJ, in North London. This is how Edinburgh families usually work with us.

Getting here

By train, Edinburgh Waverley to London King's Cross takes from about four hours ten minutes on the fastest direct LNER services, and often closer to four and a half. By air, it's roughly an hour and a half into a London airport. Ask us on the call for the easiest way to reach Mill Hill from King's Cross, or from the airport you fly into.

Where families come from

Families have come to us from Morningside, Stockbridge, Leith and Corstorphine, and from across Scotland.

Making the trip count

Because it's a longer journey, many Scottish families choose the Intensive week, so the trip goes further. If a week isn't possible, a Clarity Day is still an option.

Between visits

Once you're set up, the Remote Programme keeps things moving from home in Edinburgh, with video check ins and changes to your plan as your child progresses.

A fair question, so here's a straight answer

Families travel to us from across the UK, not just London, and we don't assume a trip is right for everyone. Some children do well with remote support alone. Others benefit from us seeing them in person first.

On the free call, we'll ask what you're seeing at home and at school, and tell you plainly whether coming to Mill Hill would make a real difference for your child, or whether remote support would do the job. If it's the second, we'll say so.

What happens on the free call?

1

You tell us what's going on

What you're seeing, and what you've already tried.

2

We tell you what we think

Including whether a trip to London makes sense, and which first step we'd suggest.

3

You decide, no pressure

If it's a fit, we'll talk next steps. If not, we'll say so.

Parents first, practitioners second

Our older son didn't speak until he was five, and that's where this started. Today he's fully verbal, has finished his GCSEs, has friends and is independent. We've spent over 20 years in developmental therapies since, and we've both been Melillo Method certified since 2022.

Most start with one visit to our Mill Hill clinic, either a Clarity Day or an Intensive week, then continue with the Remote Programme from home for support between visits.

Yes. The Remote Programme runs fully online, with video check ins and changes to your plan as your child progresses. Some families find it's all they need. Others add a visit to Mill Hill when they'd like us to see their child hands on.
With the Intensive, you get three months of hands on support while you put the home programme into practice, mostly through remote check ins. It isn't a clinical review of your child's development. We work alongside you while the new routine settles in, and adjust the exercises as your child responds.
Yes. We work with children from Edinburgh and across Scotland with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences and additional support needs. We work alongside the professionals already supporting your child, and you don't need a diagnosis to start.
No. Many of the families we work with are still on an NHS waiting list, or haven't pursued a formal diagnosis. If you're seeing things that worry you, that's enough to start.
Our support covers children from 18 months to 18 years. The Intensive week is usually for children from around age 3, and we'll tell you what fits your child on the free call.
